Jacoby D. Waters is an accomplished nonprofit leader, mentor, community advocate, and entrepreneur dedicated to empowering the next generation of leaders throughout Palm Beach County, Florida. As the Founder & CEO of Young Men of Distinction (YMOD), established in 2019, Jacoby has committed his life to creating opportunities for youth through mentorship, leadership development, education, workforce readiness, and community engagement.
Under his leadership, YMOD has grown into a respected youth development organization with a 100% high school graduation rate among its graduating seniors and more than 20 alumni who have continued on to college, trade schools, military service, and meaningful careers. His vision has expanded to include Young Ladies of Distinction and Young People of Distinction, extending the organization's impact to serve both middle and high school students across Palm Beach County.
Jacoby earned his Bachelor of Applied Science in Supervision and Management with a concentration in Entrepreneurship from Palm Beach State College. He also serves as President of the Black Student Union at Palm Beach State College, where he champions student leadership, civic engagement, and cultural awareness.
Professionally, Jacoby brings more than 10 years of experience in accounting and financial operations and currently serves as Team Lead, Cash Processing at Onity Mortgage. His expertise in finance, leadership, and organizational management has helped position Young Men of Distinction for sustainable growth through strategic partnerships, grant funding, and community collaboration.
Throughout his career, Jacoby has been recognized for his dedication to service and leadership, earning honors including the Miami Dolphins Local Legend Award, Miami Marlins Community Gamechanger Award, Legacy Magazine's 40 Under 40 recognition, and numerous community leadership acknowledgments for his commitment to empowering youth and strengthening families.
Jacoby believes every young person deserves access to mentorship, positive role models, and opportunities that inspire confidence, character, and purpose. Through innovative programming and strong community partnerships, he continues to create pathways that equip young people to become successful leaders in their schools, careers, and communities.
As a husband, father, mentor, and servant leader, Jacoby remains committed to leaving a legacy of impact by investing in today's youth to build stronger communities for tomorrow.
